Thermocap™ Double wrapped spa covers

Traditional hot tub covers are made from a central core of 1.5lb or 2lb polystyrene which is then wrapped and heat sealed and finally encased in marine grade vinyl.

Hot tub covers normally need replacing every 3 to 4 years. This is due in part to the effects of sunlight on the vinyl breaking down the stitching and making the vinyl brittle, and also the effects of ozone and chlorine offgas which over a prolonged period, will break down the polythene around the cores, and allow steam from the hot tub to saturate the polystyrene, making the lid very heavy.

The new Thermocap™ double wrapped cover system helps to extend the life of the cover by adding an additional layer of ozone resistant polythene to the cores.
